New Year New Games Out this Week

7th Absolver

An online multiplayer combat experience where you are placed behind the mask of a Prospect by the ever-present Guides, rulers of the fallen Adal Empire that will determine your worth in joining their elite corps of enforcers. Wander forsaken lands, encounter others to learn new combat skills, acquire weapons and armour, and engage in solo duels and intense three-on-three battles. Absolver will also be available for Xbox Game Pass members.

 

10th Aftercharge

A 3 v 3 competitive game pitting invisible robots against an invincible security squad in high-voltage tactical skirmishes. The robots must sneak around to punch down all the energy extractors on the site while the guards are tasked to spot the attackers. It’s up to you to stop them and put an end to the uprising! Aftercharge will also be available for Xbox Game Pass members.  

 

11th Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition

Celebrate the 10th anniversary of Tales of Vesperia and the return of this fan-favourite with the Definitive Edition. Tales of Vesperia is one of the most beloved entries in the ‘Tales of’ series and returns with beautifully remastered full HD graphics, never before seen characters, expanded story, and much more!

Darksiders Remasters get Enhanced

 

THQ Nordic has recently announced that the remastered Darksiders games Darksiders: Warmastered Edition, and Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition will be getting Xbox One X Enhancements into the lead up the release of the third game in the series.

Darksiders: Warmastered Edition will be X Enhanced from now with the sequel getting enhanced between now and the release of the third.

If you've pre-ordered the Blades & Whips edition of Darksiders III which comes with the previous two games and all the DLC, you can download and start playing the first game right now with the second to be available to download at the same time as the X Enhancements.

Backwards Compatibility Update: All about Nanomachines

Major Nelson like always, has been keeping us updated about new games coming to Backwards Compatibility on Xbox One.

This month so far we've got 4 (maybe 5 depending on your view) new games, unfortunately, none are One X enhanced.

From EA we've got the Crysis Trilogy with the first being a downloadable title with the two follow-ups being available on disc.

Konami continues with the inclusion of its HD remasters as joining Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker from the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection finally is Sons of Liberty and Snake Eater.
